Donald Trump will most likely end all climate-science data gathering funded by the US government. A defiant Jerry Brown, governor of California, has said that if Trump brings down the climate science satellites, California will launch its own. California is obviously light-years ahead of most of the country in science and technology, and also in political thought. We can only hope the rest of the country will become this defiant in the face of an
unpresidented unprecedented anti-science Trump administration.
This talk is from the AGU’s Fall Meeting, the largest Earth and space science meeting in the world. The American Geophysical Union (AGU) is an international scientific society dedicated to promoting discovery in Earth and space science for the benefit of humanity. Donald Trump doesn’t believe in any humanity that isn’t white and male (and rich) so he does not believe in the work of the AGU, or any other humanitarian organization.
